Rubber
trees cultivated by PT PERKEBUNAN NUSANTARA VIII cover an area of 29,010
hectares, grown in 18 plantations-producing 29,934 tons. There are 22
RSS rubber factories with 3 TPC, 4 concentrated latex, 3 crumb rubber
and 3 TBC, with the overall installed capacity of 48,494 tons. Types
of rubber produced by these factories are : crumb rubber, ribbed smoked
sheets, thin pale crepe and concentrated latex. The quality types are
:
Crum rubber : SIR 3L, SIR 5, SIR 10, SIR 20
Ribbed smoked sheets : RSS 1, RSS 2, RSS 3
Thin pale crepe : TPC 1, TPC 2, TPC 3 Most of the production are cosumed
home 80% and the rest 20% is exported to Asia, Europe and The United
State.
